BLISSPOINT, which was initiated in 1993, is our economics festival. It went National in 2005 and has hence grown to be an extremely prestigious event and a highlight in the calendar of the University of Delhi. The spirit of the festival essentially lies in the conviction that economics is the most current and crucial subject in the present world order. The event is thus an endeavour towards getting students acquainted and comfortable with economics by organizing a number of stimulating and thought provoking activities including workshops and seminars related to the subject. It serves as a platform to students by providing space for mental activity ranging from the expected to the eccentric..

Blisspoint 2009, our first INTERNATIONAL fest, is being organized from 27th October to 29th October. This year we are focussing on the issue of INCLUSIVE GROWTH AND ENVIRONMENT. With the UPA government endorsing Inclusive Growth as its prime agenda for this term, we feel that the issue deserves utmost attention. Inclusive growth entails equitable allocation of resources with benefits accruing to every section of society.

We also plan to ‘Go Green’ this year and propagate the idea of ‘Reduce Reuse and Recycle’ through the festival and other events in the calendar of the Economics Association.
