Man’s first invention, the wheel, was the spark that started the fire of technological innovation. CHAKRA, today, symbolizes this ever turning wheel of evolution in the confluence of young minds.

Presenting – CHAKRA, a two day, National level Inter-Collegiate technical cum cultural fest organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Pondicherry Engineering College, premieres on the 21st of March, 2011.

The lively colors and the trendiest fashion parade are indeed a treat to the eyes. The wide variety of dance and drama set the mood for the audience who believe that the whole world is a stage. Indeed, it’s a culmination of glorified and invigorated art & culture. Hill’Ffair is truly a potpourri of cultures, traditions and ideas which leaves all and sundry fascinated.  The rock bands make the crowds indulge in ultimate delectation, their necks bowing in reverence; the various song performances by the artists bring out all those wordless emotions, easing the strain and highlighting the wild streak of the students who just want to break free from the worldly bonds. Indeed, they float on cloud 9 for these three days of exhilaration!

Fire, an accidental discovery, has been igniting the fuel necessary to turn the wheels of progress over the ages. MindSpark is an attempt to keep this fire alive, sparking into creation a unique mélange of thoughts that will fuel our foray into the depths of the undiscovered, to invent and better the already discovered, and attain rarified horizons of intellect.

MindSpark, now in its fourth successive year is the brainchild of the students of College of Engineering, Pune. MindSpark encourages the generation of new thoughts and helps these thoughts find expression. About Springfest’11:

Spring Fest, popularly known as SF, is the annual social & cultural festival held at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur during the month of January in the spring semester. The 52nd edition of the fest, Spring Fest 2011, will be held from 21st to 24th January 2011.

During the Spring Fest, students from IIT Kharagpur and from different colleges all over the country participate in a plethora of socio-cultural activities. Most of these are day events which involve dramatics, music and dance competitions, fine-arts contests, quizzes, and other literary events. The number of these events is particularly large and serves to cater to the very large number of participants — both local as well as from other colleges all over the country.
