INTRUSION: Intrusion is the online hacking event with several rounds to gauge a hacker’s “hacking quotient”. Participate and experience the fun in penetrating one blocked level to reach another.

SPAC : STUDENTS PROFESSIONAL AWARENESS CONFERENCE (SPAC), the closing event of TROIKA 2012, will see industry professionals from diverse backgrounds explore the subjects that affect the engineers’ careers.

BITS : BITS is an on-the-spot programming contest, challenging the spontaneity and promptness of the participants. Participants are required to solve a series of problems within an indicated time frame. So come armed with grit and wit to face some fierce competition!!

BYTES: BYTES is an online programming contest where the participants have 4 hours to solve the challenging problems (in C/C++) given to them.
They will be pitted against the contest script, specially designed to enable users from all across the globe to participate.

BOTS:BOTS the AI gaming challenge is back to floor you all! Face competitors like never before, with only your codes to your rescue. So program hard, play harder .
Dig deep into your mind, summon your intellect, reason and programming skills, and develop that perfect and infallible strategy to defeat your opponents!!

ETHER AVATAR: Troika 2012 brings to you Ether Avatar, the LAN Quizzing event worth dying for. With a plethora of fields to choose from, the participants are offered the opportunity to play the game on their own turf, succeeding in which, they enter the subsequent round.

1) INTELLECTUS (Prelims, Jan 20 – Feb 2, 2012) — To be held in different colleges/universities across the Delhi-NCR region. You’d be tested on fields of general awareness, IQ, etc. Simple yet brain-teasing.

2) TEAMARBEIT (Semi-final, Feb 12, 2012) — To be organized in the college campus, comprising the students filtered through the prior round. Those who qualify for this shall be expected to pay a nominal amount of Rs.100 to move another step closer to the final. Round revolves around team dynamics and spontaneity. The performance of participants at individual level as well as their dedication to respective teams would form important criteria of judgement. We provide numerous fields of YOUR interest! YOU pick! YOU compete! YOU qualify!

3) CONQUISTADOR (Final, Feb 17, 2012) — The mega round will be held in ITMU, Gurgaon, spanning a period of an entire day. If you qualify for this, you’d know better than to expect the ordinary! This intriguing round will expose you to numerous challenging activities. Meant only for the deserving!

Converita (www.converita.com) is the National Level Technical Symposium organised by the Department of Information Technology, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai scheduled on August 29th, 2011.

Prizes worth more than Rs. 1 lakh up for grabs in this year’s edition which promises to be bigger and better than ever before!

Converita has had a glorious past with around 4000 participants in each of the previous 2 editions. The ‘Mega Prize’ in the 2k9 edition was a Bajaj Pulsar 150, while last year’s winner drove away on a Yamaha FZ!

Alfaaz is a tribute to the eloquent word and an exhibition of art penned down; a collection of motley events, in praise as much of comic wit and biting repartee, as of stirring sobriety evoking spellbound silence; an excuse to enrich the mundane and commonplace in life and let it metamorphose untethered into a flight of fantasy.

Add in the cut-throat competition that draws out the best in everyone and the seeds are sown for making tangible the highest forms of intellect and creativity, inherent in some of the finest minds of the nation. Events at Alfaaz ’10 promise you just that with a myriad of speaking and writing events that let imagination flow freely.

Also part of Alfaaz 2010 will be the IIT Guwahati Model United Nations, a simulation of various United Nations councils. The MUN shall witness delegates from all over the nation engaging in intense debate over several pressing issues in the contemporary world, with an aim to arrive at plausible solutions for the same. The MUN promises to be a lively and stimulating affair, with around 100 delegates simulating 3 UN councils.

Apart from showcasing literary capacities of the highest quality, Alfaaz also aims at providing avenues for the all and sundry to imbibe such skills and garner knowledge on a variety of topics relevant in the day and age. To this end, Alfaaz includes a host of Workshops and Talks by eminent personalities, certain to make your make your stay on campus a memorable and enriching experience.

We invite all literary fanatics out there – newbies and pros, writers and critics, rhetoricians and debaters, the conventional and the eccentric, and everyone else with a thirst for knowledge or a yearning for literary art. We promise you three days of unhindered fun and an atmosphere conducive to literary thinking, in which we shall pit the very best against each other. We ask you to let loose your inner Milton, to let fly your imagination and let go your inhibitions. Astound us.
