CodeCracker-2012

CodeCracker is a fully automated online programming contest judge system designed and implemented by GLUG members of NIT Durgapur.The main drive and motivation behind this project is to inculcate the culture of programming among students, helping them understand the importance of algorithms as a problem solving tool, and making them recognise the power of GNU/Linux as a powerful programming platform.The judge is built using opensource technologies and tools. So come, code, challenge yourself… prove your intelligence and win recognition for yourself and your college.

There are a variety of contests that test the design, coding and analytical ability latent in every individual. About us and MUKTI:

Linux Users’ Group, NIT Durgapur was formed to popularize Linux and Open Source softwares beyond the silicon branches and to the masses in common. It triggers certification courses on Linux, Java and other technologies, along with seminars and tutorials. It organizes an annual national level technical symposium on Linux and FOSS called “MUKTI”, to provide a platform for students, nationwide, to share their knowledge and intellect.

We have been very influential in bringing many eminent personalities like Dr. Sumitabha Das, to name a few, on the platform of MUKTI to inspire students to join the Open Source bandwagon.

We have always believed in the philosophy of sharing what you we have achieved. Thus, whatever we do is documented in our blogs for the perusal of all.

Linux Users’ Group boasts to be the largest club in N.I.T. Durgapur in term of members that show their solidarity towards Linux. In subsequent years LUG NITDGP continued to spread the message of Linux through workshops, competitions, basic Linux classes and patronizing various courses at highly discounted rates that helped us spread Linux within the campus.

INTRUSION: Intrusion is the online hacking event with several rounds to gauge a hacker’s “hacking quotient”. Participate and experience the fun in penetrating one blocked level to reach another.

SPAC : STUDENTS PROFESSIONAL AWARENESS CONFERENCE (SPAC), the closing event of TROIKA 2012, will see industry professionals from diverse backgrounds explore the subjects that affect the engineers’ careers.

BITS : BITS is an on-the-spot programming contest, challenging the spontaneity and promptness of the participants. Participants are required to solve a series of problems within an indicated time frame. So come armed with grit and wit to face some fierce competition!!

BYTES: BYTES is an online programming contest where the participants have 4 hours to solve the challenging problems (in C/C++) given to them.
