The idea of KRONOS would be to present challenges which would be only encountered by wilderness of intelligence. After the two year’s renaissance, KRONOS is striking back with vengeance to redefine the technology which will transform the future of the commons. Our effort would be to come up with a step to combine fun with the technology to produce some dazzling performances. KRONOS celebrates life, this time yours. Indulge in the discovery of yourself, find your hidden talents or simply enjoy the ambiance of the most exciting days of your life. KRONOS is a celebration of that fusion where the beauty of the form is coalesced with inspiring ingenious innovations of young mettle. The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination.

The duration of Kronos’12 is from 26th to 29th of February 2012. and this being an undertaking of gargantuan proportions is sure to make the premises coalescing point for about 10,000+ students from all over country (India). Kronos in its incipient version i.e. 2011 and 2010 saw some 9000 students participating in 23 on site and 5 online activities. This year, the bar has been set higher which doesn’t come in as a surprise, given that a new roster of events will be making its way into some of the segments. Demeter’s Kitchen (Event themed on Master Chef), Tech Olympics (a mega technical event), Make a Ride (assembly of cycle and scooter), Ecozzen (an initiative to save environment and create an awareness for the same) etc. will be making their debut this year.

To add to the value of KRONOS’12 we would like to invite you and your college students to be a part of the annual techno-cultural fest and the first ever greenest fest of our country.

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Technical Events:

Autorennen (Roborace)

Participants have to run their car/robot on a track provided by the organizers. The track will consist of obstacles in form of mud, gravels, bumps, elevated plywood sheets, cones etc. Participants have to design a Remote Controlled Electric Powered car/robot (wired or wireless) which can run over a specified track and beat the opponents against obstacles to win the race.

Battle Slash (Robowar)

Design and construct a manually controlled or autonomous, wired or wireless robot capable of fighting. The warrior who will win the battle will be known as Winner.

Aqualibrium (Water bot)

Participants have to design a motorized, remote controlled boat, capable of crossing a given course in minimum time, keeping in line with the given control constrains.

Genesis (Mock Placement Drive)

A platform for students to judge their capability to face the real placement activity, the very first step for them to enter in professional life.

Kode Kombat (Programming Contest)

Techies are there to put some mysterious questionnaire through a fantastic series of varying difficult levels & coding tasks. This Event starts with 3 Elimination rounds with a variety of tasks, queries which will test the best techies among all the contestants.

Combinado (Assemble the Dis-assemble)

This is basically an assembling event for the participants in which the participants will have to assemble a bicycle and a scooter in the minimum time or in the given time-limit.

Ideate (Model/Project Presentation)

In this event you get the opportunity to present your innovations. Just assemble your projects to be the part of this opportunity. Your project should have some futuristic approach, advancement in any idea or project to remove some upcoming problems.

Tech Olympics (Series of Technical Events)

It is a Mega event consisting of 8 technical tasks to be completed by the participating team. This event is based on the Olympics pattern and one of the unique events in its type.

Non-Technical Events:

Ingenium Theatrum (Talent Show)

This is the official talent show of the fest, as the name suggests. Here we will give a chance to the participants to do whatever they feel they are good at. Therefore, it will act as free platform for the talented crowd to show their gifts to the masses. Gather your friends and start the performance. This is your chance to fame.

Bacchanalia (Dance Event)

Stars shimmer down and heaven descends onto earth. Dare to be unique with your fresh style. For us dancing is all about people communicating with their bodies and respond to others by movements. So gear up for swing and swirl. Shine, kick, and twirl your way to the top. Get the audience glued to your performance craving for a ‘once more’…..so just break it to make it!!!!!

Kalisthenix (Fashion Show)

FASHION PARADE, the competition in which the teams set the ramp on fire depicting a theme of their choice in their costumes, props, music and of course the right attitude to carry themselves with panache. Competition is intended for the budding fashion designers, alumnus and students of university, colleges and academies.

Musizzaz (Band Wars)

Rock band competition is on different level in the KRONOS’12 this time. Get set for a much more extravagant edition of the event this time Division and more, get ready to experience the magic of rock in its new avatar at its very epicenter right here in ITMU.

Inquestia (Mock Crime Investigation)

Mock Crime investigation is the meeting point of science, logic and law. “Processing a crime scene” is a long process that involves purposeful documentation of the conditions at the scene and the collection of any physical evidence that could possibly illuminate what happened and point to who did it. The ultimate goal is the conviction of the perpetrator of the crime.

Ecozzen (Save Environment)

This event gives each one of you that chance to make an impact and make your presence felt for our environment. In this event, one will have to create awareness for environment by either campaigns or society meetings, or anything else they like to. An online phase will give a boost to their awareness campaign and they will get connected to various people joining their cause. The more number of people connected to the team, and helping become eco-friendly, the more are the chances for the team to win.

Plan B (Business Strategies)

In this event we are inviting Business plans of all the business starters. The best B-Plan will get free mentorship from the industry experts and if the idea turns out to win the hearts of the judges, then, the winners may also be funded for the same.

Kwizzard (Open Quiz Competition – No age limit)

This year Kronos is trying to bring out the Quiz wizard within you. This gives you the opportunity to show your knowledge and nail it at one place one event. So wizards come and play hard to win the Kwizzard!

Brand Fiesta

For those brilliant minds, who like to keep the updates of the entire corporate buzz, this year Kronos brings an exclusive quiz based on the knowledge of the entire corporate world. This fiesta will rattle your minds with its completely innovative approach and questions which will be asked from every corner of the business era.

Demeter’s Kitchen (Master Chef)

ITM is there to put some aspiring amateur cooks through a series of increasingly difficult cookery tasks in this brand event. This series starts with preliminary rounds with a variety of tasks such as cooking, tasting and judging an exciting variety of dishes to select the contestants for the main competition.

Minute to win it (Sixty Seconds Shot)

This event will be a JAM (Just-A-Minute) session where the contestants will be required to complete a given task within a minute. The tasks will be simple but yet tricky, which will give fun to contestants as well as spectators.

Art Mela (Paint your dreams)

Art Mela, is basically an event for the art-lovers. There is not just one art-form and hence, we have broadened the horizons of this event to painting, sketching, collage-making, face decoration, tattoo making, rangoli and mehendi designs.

Road Rage 2.0

For some people, hell is heaven and for some who wish to be angels, there lies an insight wish to know what hell is like. So, at KRONOS-12; here is a chance for everybody, to experience, to live and to feel like hell. An adventurous, zestful event for all the ones who love, love to experience death..!!!

Workshops:

Ethical Hacking (By Sunny Vaghela)

Ethical Hacking, often performed by white hats or skilled computer experts, is the use of programming skills to determine vulnerabilities in computer systems. While the non-ethical hacker or black hat exploits these vulnerabilities for mischief, personal gain or other reasons, the ethical hacker evaluates them, points them out, and may suggest changes to systems that make them, less likely to be penetrated by black hats. White hats can work in a variety of ways. Many companies utilize ethical hacking services from consults or full-time employees to keep their systems and information as secure as possible.

Tribot Mobile (Robotics)

TrioBot is a 14 Hour Robotics workshop which involves building autonomous robots using our Botrio-MRP [Mobile Robotic Platform]. This workshop will introduce Arduino (www.arduino.cc) to the students, which is an open-source physical computing platform. Arduino is an easy to understand and implement microcontroller platform which students can use for their college or B-Tech projects.

Auto Spark (IC Engine Designing)

Want to know about engines, How they work, How they look from inside? Ever thought of designing your own engine with all craziest features like Fast and Furious, then this is chances for live demonstration and check your ability. The aim of this workshop is to introduce participants with Engine Assembly & to create enthusiasm regarding designing of engines.

Bulls n Wears (Share Marketing)

Do you want to learn how to make money in the stock market, but do not know where to start? Are you interested your career in Investment Market? Do you want to be part of Indian economics, want to analyze the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services?
