FINALYZE – The Finance Club of IMI

At IMI, ‘Business Leaders’ in the making, are involved in constant endeavours to supplement the pedagogical inputs with spirited activities. Finalyze means to “conclude something” and being true to its name the club undertakes several initiatives like stock market simulations, quizzes, discussions, guest lectures, summits etc. which provides a constructive platform for the budding finance warlocks to grow and apply their theoretical concepts in practice. The finance club of IMI seeks not only to provide the student with a clear perspective of finance issues but also to develop their own perspective about the same.

PRAHELIKA

PRAHELIKA is the annual finance summit organized by the finance club of IMI. It is a completely student driven initiative and provides great exposure to the students as they get to interact with eminent personalities from the industry and discuss the contemporary issues facing the world of finance.

PRAHELIKA 2008

PRAHELIKA 2008, a 2-day event focused on new-age financial products. It was graced by the likes of Dr Subir Gokarn (Chief Economist, Standard & Poor Asia Pacific), Mr. P.K. Choudhary (Group CEO, ICRA Group), Mr. Arun Kumar Gupta (Structured Finance Division CRISIL) and many more. It focussed on understanding the complex new age financial products with simplicity. The discussion was followed by a paper presentation competition that had more than 200 entries from all the top B-schools across the country.

PRAHELIKA 2009

PRAHELIKA 2009 is a 2-day event to be held on 4th and 5th of September 2009. It is an attempt to understand the fundamentals of equity valuation during varying market situations. The underlying theme of Prahelika 2009 focuses on getting an insight from industry experts on how to make sound investment decisions based on correct valuation. It will include panel discussions with eminent personalities from the corporate world and thereafter a paper presentation competition. The audience will consist of corporate and students from premiere B-schools in India.
