Details of Rectacy 2010:

Rectacy as the name suggests is four days of unadulterated ecstasy of NIT Durgapur.After a hectic academic schedule all through the year,the students look forward to these four days of absolute fun and frolic.The venue is rife all night long with throngs of students enjoying to the hilt.The festival not also brings together all NIT-ians but also students from different colleges of eastern India who wish to enthral in the myriads of artists.

The highlights of the festival are performed by renowned artists every evening. Artists who have performed in the previous Recstacy includes the likes of KK, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal, Mohit Chauhan, Zubeen Garg, Bhupen Hazarika, Nitin Bali, Vinod Rathod, Nachiketa, Abhijeet, Anjan Dutta, Babul, Supriya and many more reputed singers. Euphoria, Strings,Kroswindz,Cactus, Lakkhichhara, Prestorika and many more reputed brands have also graced the event.

The 50th anniversary of NIT Durgapur means this time is special – and the excitement, immense!

Events of Rectacy 2010:

We have 4 days of phenomenal performances catering to crowds of all tastes and backgrounds. And we bring you the crème of the crop.

1)      Breathe – The Floyd sound, a Pink Floyd Cover band from the United Kingdom.

2)       Faridkot of Channel [V]‘s launch pad fame.

3)      Fossils, an evergreen favourite.

4)      Wrapping up the mega event, we have a mega star! Shaan. If that isn’t enough for you, we don’t know what is! Miss this if your life depends on it! On second thought, don’t!

Also we have many events like

1)      Rockophonix- Band competition.

2)      Bad Ad- Ad Making competition.

3)      On The Floor – Dance competition.(Solo and Group).

4)      Rexcitement – Filler Events (Antakshari, Face Painting etc)

5)      Stage Might – Drama Competition.
