Details:

Introduction: Welcome to Rediff Social Media Wizards Contest 2010 – your chance to be crowned Social Media Wizards-2010 and win the top Prize of Rs. 100,000.

The objective of the contest is to create a Rediff Page (details given below) and popularise it within the given timeline. Even if you enter the contest a bit late, its not an issue. Your chances of winning depend upon how well you promote your Rediff Page! For detailed Rules, Refer to the Terms and Conditions tab.

Awards: The top-10 teams have to make a presentation to our panel who will select the winners. The first prize is Rs. 1 lakh, second prize is Rs. 50,000 and third prize is Rs. 25,000. You will be evaluated based on the difference you made to the initiative, techniques you used to promote your MyPage and publicity you gave to the page across various sectors of media.

You could win:

• 1st prize: Rs 1 lakh
• 2nd prize: Rs 50,000
• 3rd prize: Rs. 25,000

Rules & Regulations:

Team will be of 3 members – any number of teams from same institute can participate. Topic of the page is the choice of the team. All 3 team members should be current college students and all 3 from same institute. 1 student cannot be part of 2 teams. No offensive material is allowed – violating this will lead to immediate disqualification. Criteria for selection of top 10 teams for finals is the number of fans on the page and the interactions happening on the page.

Interactions can be in the form of photos, status messages, videos, links, audios and comments by moderators and fans. The cheque for prize winners will be issued in the name of one of the winner team members. There will be special Finalist certificates from Rediff.com for the 10 finalist teams. The institute with largest participation will get a special mention on the contest page and will get publicity on the national level. In case of any disputes, the decision taken by Rediff.com will be final and binding.
