SIMC Footprints 2009: Media Students look out for the environment in the ‘GREEN BATTLE’

The Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, based in Pune and Bangalore, presents Footprints 2009 Indore Chapter on 12^th December 2009. The central theme of the event is ‘Green Battle’ where panelists will discuss on the growing issue of the environment.

Some of the most well known people in the media industry are going to be a part of this event. Ms. Smriti Irani, famous actress and politician, Mir Ranjan Negi, former Sportsperson, Deepak Chaurasia, noted media person of Star News, Anjum Rajabali, noted scriptwriter, activist Satinath Sarangi, Dr. RK Suri, Additional Director of Union Ministry, Shridhar Trivedi and Rajesh Dubey.

The second topic that will be discussed by some of the panel members is ‘Journalism= Information? = Truth??’ in which they will discuss the ongoing debate about the sanctity of the career and try and look into what is now the main motive of the industry.

The day-long event would also include a lot of interactive sessions like, scriptwriting workshop and a talk show with the topic ‘From theatre to soaps’ and would end with a concert performance by ‘RAHMANIA- The wandering souls’.

Two media professionals will be awarded the ‘Young Achievers Awards’ to recognize the excellence in the industry. The event will also include an NGO exhibition from different cities of Madhya Pradesh..
