ABOUT IMPETUS 2012:

New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore will conduct  Impetus 2012, an annual sports and cultural fest which is to be held from May 2 to May 3, 2012.

Impetus 2012 is one of the biggest department fests around is conducted by the ISE department of NHCE.

This year’s edition boasts an impressive list of 18 events including crowd favorites like fashion show, group dance and minute to win it. Experience the thrill of a short film festival, which is a first of its kind in Bangalore and is going to be introduced via Impetus.

(Rangoli Competition)Colors… the most effective way to express your moods. Every distant expression an every bubbling thought of your pensive speaks for itself through a color,a different hue altogether. Through this event we encourage the above mentioned thoughts and provide you a board to portray it. There isn’t a better way to win accolades on the field of colors.

Multiple questions for each team;+10on every correct & -5 on wrong answer.(Total time:3 min approx)

CHIT CHAT SONG

There will be a chit selection from bowl and the team members will sing nonstop songs according to hero-heroien combination of chit in the time limit.(Total:2 mins)

3> ROBO CHAKRAVYUH:

Introduction:-
Violence is undesirable, but when evil crosses all boundaries war becomes inevitable. Test your strength and the robustness of your robot on our platform, where you will face true opponents. Design a machine (Manual Control) which is capable of fighting with the opponent robot. Machine can consist of various weapons like cutter, crusher, lifter, flipper, etc. to destroy the opponent robot. The arena is hexagonal. We invite you to participate in “ESPERANZA-2012″ FINAL DESTINATION…You will compete with the best and brightest participants and could win.

2. Burning soul
Introduction:-
Robots experience the race against fire, where each second faces friction against the accelerating “Robo Racers”.
Design a machine (Manual Control) which is capable of completing the track within minimum time .Track will consist of slope , sand, bridges, disk, grease, water and electromagnetic jamming etc.

“Abhivyakti” is a technical paper Presentation which
 gives a platform for expressive & crisp minds to

 an opportunity for students to showcase their
 exquisite knowledge and technical base on diverse
 domains. So GEAR UP, pick up your pen and paper and
 dive into fathoms of your technical knowledge.

This includes LAN gaming.

In a team of two you have to design your partner’s hair.

Description:- See d C is a competition being held for all the computer and programming freaks. It is an event which checks the programming skills of an individual from the very basic level to the advanced Level. A paper containing some objective questions about the relevant topic will be given to the participants. Who scores maximum in the paper, will be the winner of the competition. ONLY 2 programming languages will be given in the paper C and C++.
