ABOUT E-WEEK 2012:

The Summit

E-Summit 2012 was conceptualised in order to establish a platform for enhancing relationship between the institutes and industries, thereby increasing the opportunities for student entrepreneurs for live projects and to acquaint them beforehand of the demands of the corporate atmosphere. It also aims to move one step ahead in the existing cordial relationship between industry and institutes of the north- east.

E- Summit 2012 is a summit that aims to connect all the colleges of the seven north-eastern states. The summit plans on bringing Business Leaders and Indian Entrepreneur’s together on a common platform. It will also provide a foundation to tap into the North Eastern India’s vastly unexplored quality manpower highly gifted with an insight required to catapult a conglomerate in terms of true recognition.

EVENTS IN E-WEEK 2012:

Entrepreneurship Summit 2012 is proud to announce its association with Next Big Idea (A DST-Intel-NSRCEL initiative) in presenting Acumen, The B-Plan Competition.

Acumen is an initiative towards identifying and promoting talent, ideas, innovation and enterprise. It provides a platform to prospective entrepreneurs and to convert their innovative ideas into commercially viable business strategy. This event aims at the quest for business plans which have the potential to create their discernable value.

The event will be held in two stages. The details are as follows:

Stage I: All the interested teams (2 members) will have to submit an abstract of their Business Plan by 20th March, 2012 on iipc.nits@gmail.com. The team should submit an executive summary of their business plan in a PDF or DOC or simple TEXT file as their entry for the first round. An Executive Summary is basically an abstract of your business idea. It should contain all the details pertaining to the plan that the participant feels necessary and appropriate.
The abstract will be judged on the basis of:
• Originality
• Innovation
• Practical Application
The word limit for the abstract would be 300 words.

Stage II: Teams whose abstracts are selected would advance to Stage II.

The final text of the plan should be in accordance with the pattern as mentioned:
• Executive Summary
• Business Concept Description
• Market Strategies
• Competitive analysis
• Design and development plan
• Operations and management plan
• Financial plan and statement

The time duration for the final presentation will be 20+10 minutes (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A session with the jury).

The presentations can be in .PPT/Flash or any other format that the team considers appropriate for the event. However the E-Summit organizing committee will not be responsible for supplying the required software/packages to support the format

Prize Money:
First position: INR Rs. 20,000
Total prizes worth INR Rs. 30,000

Roll-Over Prize: Based on the judgement of the panel, if a business plan is commercially viable and realizes the goals of the society, there will be provision to provide funding and incubation support towards the realization of the B- Plan.

Entrepreneurship Summit, PEC University of Technology Chandigarh

An Entrepreneurship-Summit is being organized from the 13th to the 15th April 2012 under the aegis of the Entrepreneurship Development Celi (EDC) of PEC University of Technology. We the members IEEE Student Branch, DA-IICT in collaboration with Center for Entrepreneurship and Incubation at DA-IICT (CEID) present B2B – the B Plan competition under its technical festival i.fest,2011, to provide a platform to the young minds with entrepreneurship bent to come up with an B-Plan and showcase their talent.

Event Structure -B2B Competition

B2B will be organised in two phases :

Phase I:

Submission of Executive Summary Executive Summary is considered to be the most important part of a Business Plan. It summarizes the business proposition, key financial projections, where the business stands at present and elements that are critical for success.

Phase II:

 Final Presentation of the B-Plan Top five teams selected by our judges would be called to DA-IICT to present their complete Business Plan in front of a panel of judges who would decide the winner based on various aspects of a running a successful business.

About The Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition™ 2010

The Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition™ Asia’s first and most prestigious sustainable/clean technology business plan competition, founded in 2007, is the brainchild of Oopali Operajita, CEO, Cicero, A Trans National Advisory, a Senior Political and International Affairs Adviser to several of India’s prominent political leaders and a former Distinguished Faculty Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
