IIT Kharagpur presents Zonal NASA 2010, a 3 day extravaganza comprising of the brightest minds in the field of architecture from the eastern zone of India. To satisfy the thirst for knowledge and quest for innovation, the fest is structured as an amalgamation of events of various genres ranging from architectural design to fine and allied arts and even literary and dramatic events. This wide variety of events helps create a conducive environment for learning, innovating and creating without sacrificing on the aspect of a fest. E-Cell IIT Kharagpur, each year, takes a massive initiative to promote entrepreneurship and encourage students across the country to embrace the concept of starting one’s own enterprise. It conducts an Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive in cities across the country, in reputed colleges in each city, during the month of October. Spring Fest, popularly known as SF, is the annual social & cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur held during the month of January in the spring semester.
Scheduled from 21st-24th January 2011, the 52nd edition promises to be as riveting and enthralling as ever.
Global Entrepreneurship Summit (scheduled from 15th-17th January, 2010), being our annual flagship event, is one of the biggest entrepreneurial platforms for academicians, new-age entrepreneurs, eminent business personalities, venture capitalists and the students.
As January would be inching to an end, Kharagpur would witness an extravaganza few would want to miss and none would forget. For IIT Kharagpur would be playing host to the internationally acclaimed metal band Skid Row for their first performance in India. And this is part of their 3 day 4 night long annual clambake Spring Fest, from 21st Jan to 24th Jan.
Started in 1960, Spring Fest is the largest and the oldest running student organized fest in Eastern India. To make this 51st edition the youth hub it promises to be, planning had started way back in June. Says Abhey, a publicity head,” We wanted to outdo the 50th edition, and now we are on the verge of something really special. Our publicity campaign has incorporated a pan India outlook. Response has been exemplary and we are expecting a footfall of around 30,000. The news of Skid Row performing is really getting the colleges going”.

Our fest Megalith is analogous to a firm base. Megaliths are large stone structures or groups of standing stones, located at sites in various parts of the world and believed to have religious & historical significance. Event Dates January 15-17, 2010
