ABOUT MECHANICA 2012:

Mechanica is annual technical festival of the department of Mechanical Engineering of IIT Madras. With 20+ events and prize money of about 1.2 lakhs; Come and witness the event between March 23rd and 25th of 2012.

The Annual Research and Technology extravaganza of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IITM or Mechanica is the biggest event of the Mechanical Engineering Associaition (MEA) OF IIT Madras. Over the years, it has built it’s own legacy and reputation of being a platform for bringing the entire Mechanical engineering family across the nation under one roof. This year, Mechanica will extend its focus on challenging new horizons and will be a platform of technology and innovation. Mechanica has evolved itself in the past few years to become a stage for discussion and exchange of information regarding the challenges of Mechanical Engineering in the modern day world.

With the wheels set and ready to rub, make sure you fasten your seat belts, before hitting the nitrous!

• Mechamorphosis | Mechamorphosis is a celebration of the spirit of mechanical engineering, the consequently acquired knowledge, and the feats achieved from the application of that knowledge.

• Vihang | From Leonardo da Vinci to the Wright brothers to the Space Age, aerospace engineering has reached a new pinnacle with every triumph. Vihang is an odyssey into this magnificent world of aerospace!
