CodeCracker is a fully automated online programming contest judge system designed and implemented by GLUG members of NIT Durgapur.The main drive and motivation behind this project is to inculcate the culture of programming among students, helping them understand the importance of algorithms as a problem solving tool, and making them recognise the power of GNU/Linux as a powerful programming platform.The judge is built using opensource technologies and tools. So come, code, challenge yourself… prove your intelligence and win recognition for yourself and your college.

Linux Users’ Group, NIT Durgapur was formed to popularize Linux and Open Source softwares beyond the silicon branches and to the masses in common. It triggers certification courses on Linux, Java and other technologies, along with seminars and tutorials. It organizes an annual national level technical symposium on Linux and FOSS called “MUKTI”, to provide a platform for students, nationwide, to share their knowledge and intellect.

We have been very influential in bringing many eminent personalities like Dr. Sumitabha Das, to name a few, on the platform of MUKTI to inspire students to join the Open Source bandwagon.

VERVE,the annual literary festival of National Institute Of Technology, Durgapur is the biggest of its kind in Eastern India. VERVE is the flagship event of NIT,Durgapur. VERVE insists on giving today’s multifaceted youngsters a fair chance to showcase their creativity. It embodies the spirit of bloom, combining traditional events like public speaking and quizzing with a smorgasbord of other spontaneous events such as Treasure Hunt and some intriguing workshops by eminent personalities like Tin Can of Madly Bangalee fame and renowned journalist Dilip D’Souza.
