TCS visited Cummins College of Engineering for central placements. Other Participant colleges include BV Pune College of Engineering, BV Pune Women Engineering College and Pune Vidharthi Group. TCS recruited 22 students from BV Pune College of Engineering. The process followed by them was aptitude test followed by an interview. Test was conducted online and contains 3 sections; interviews were mainly focused on technical questions.

Recruitment procedure: The process followed by TCS was:

1. Aptitude Test (Online)


2. Personal interview

Initially 48 students appeared for test from BV Pune College of Engineering

Aptitude Test:

Aptitude test consisted of 3 parts

Verbal: 20 minutes, 30 questions | Synonym, Antonym, & Reading Comprehension

Quantitative: 40 minutes, 36 questions

Critical Reasoning: 30 minutes, 12 questions

For LR section Barrons is more than enough.

For math section, questions were not at all from previous papers and time was also too short. Questions were lengthy.1 question was on simple interest.

For English section, most candidates knew 4-5 of the total of antonym n synonym.

-       Practice previous year papers to pass the test (TCS Resources (Placement Papers).

-       Barrons for GRE is good reference guide for Verbal and Critical reasoning questions.

Personal Interview:

Interview was both TECH and HR

Tech interview:

In Tech interview following things were asked: DBMS – Normalization, SQL Queries, SQL Tuning OS – Mutex, Semaphores etc. C – Swapping without third variable, GCD / LCM, Fibonacci.

Tech-codd rules, mac address, ip address classes, Operating system- paging, memory management techniques, polymorphism(more specifically run-time polymorphism),8085, difference between structure and union, programs on recursion, Joins, About Visual basic

HR Interview:

Tell me about yourself?

Why should we hire you?

Why do you want to join TCS?

Do you have any problem regarding bond?

Tell me revenue of TCS?

What are your experiences in your college?

Why did you come to Pune from a far place?

    I just want to ask what is the current syllabus of aptitude test of TCS for campus recuritments, specifically English section was present in paper or not.
