Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Placement process at BV Pune on 22 Dec 2009

TCS visited Cummins College of Engineering for central placements. Other Participant colleges include BV Pune College of Engineering, BV Pune Women Engineering College and Pune Vidharthi Group. TCS recruited 22 students from BV Pune College of Engineering. The process followed by them was aptitude test followed by an interview. Test was conducted online and contains 3 sections; interviews were mainly focused on technical questions.

In this section you will find different questions with the same meaning. In all such questions your answer has to be same. for e.g.:
In being thrown by chance with a stranger, you wait for the person to introduce himself or herself.

It is difficult for you to chat about things in general with people.

So the total exam is for 50mins and not 60 mins as it had been told by most of the passouts who got through..For online test there is a specific time cut-out based on the qubex software they have used but for the written there is no time scheduling you can start anywhere you like..

Cut off for written was 50 and for online it was 42 and not 38 as told by the others..

Written Test

Tata Consultancy Services conducts a multiple choice test. The test consists of four sections. The first section is the Verbal Section with 15 questions to be attempted in 6 minutes. The questions deal with words and their synonyms. You need a high level of vocabulary to do well in this part. The second section is a Quantitative Aptitude section with 15 questions to be answered in 10 minutes. The test was divided in three sections as:
1. Verbal reasoning (20 min – 32 Qs )
2. Quantitative aptitude (40 min ? 36 Qs) 3. Critical reasoning (30 min – 3 passages – 12 Qs)
No Sectional Cut off.
No Negative Marks.
No Psychometric Test was there for us.
Appearance of Psychometric means you cleared the test.
