As expected PSUs are taking leads in placements this year at NITs. After visiting NIT Durgapur and NIT Silchar IOCL went NIT Jaipur and Rourkela. IOCL thus visited 2 prominent in single day. IOCL recruited 11 candidates from NIT Rourkela. Thus NIT Rourkela showing better placements as compare to its counterparts. We wish all the best for entire placement session.

Other Description:
Shortlisting: Short listing of CV has been done on basis of CGPA only. For General category minimum CGPA required was 6.5. Higher CGPA is given preference. For other category minimum CGPA under consideration was 6.0.
Interview:
Interview was based on technical questions and very few lesser important HR questions. Technical Questions are varying from basic to in-depth. Summer Training has much higher part in interview. Most of questions were asked related to Vocational/summer training of the candidate. We advice all students who will going to appear in IOCL interviews in future should thoroughly go through their summer training project and report.

How do you reverse the direction of rotation of a FAN?
What should be the value of earth resistance for an instrumentation/electronic circuit? As per which IS/IEC Code?
What is the difference between Dynamo and Alternator?
